
Dr. Hippert joined the South Fayette team as an Associate Junior-Senior High School Principal in 1990. In June 1991, she became Principal of the Junior-Senior High School and remained in that capacity until she became Acting Superintendent in 1996. The following year, she began serving the District as Superintendent. Dr. Hippert is also an adjunct professor at Duquesne University’s School of Leadership and Professional Advancement.
Prior to her time at South Fayette, Dr. Hippert was a math teacher in the Trinity and Chartiers Valley School Districts. In addition, she spent two years in business working in marketing and management.
Dr. Hippert holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics Education from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a Master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh. At Duquesne University she also received her Secondary Administrative Certification and Doctorate Degree from the University’s Program for Educational Leaders.
Active in many professional organizations, Dr. Hippert has been a member of the Executive Board of the Western Pennsylvania Supervision of Curriculum and Development, Treasurer for Phi Delta Kappa Educational Fraternity, a member of the Executive Board of the University of Pittsburgh Tri-State Study Council, and the South Hills Area School District Association Superintendents.
