South Fayette Athletic Update 3/8/2010

Congratulations to Nick Carr for being crowned the WPIAL Class “AA” 145 Lb. Wrestling Champion.

Congratulations to Nicole Hilton who participated at the Indoor Track State Championships at Penn State University. Nicole placed 3rd in the 3000 meters and 12th for the one mile.

Congratulations to Richie Klimek placing 3rd in the WPIAL Class “AA” Diving Championships.

Congratulations to Steve Torre on winning the WPIAL Class “AA” Championships in the 100 Breastroke.

Good luck to all of our winter sport teams currently participating in the playoffs and individuals who have also qualified for their particular championships.

The Nathan Ostrowski Memorial Fundnry

Dear South Fayette Community:

Since the initial award in 1996, 38 scholarship awards, ranging from $750 to $4,000 each, have been granted to deserving

South Fayette High School graduating seniors in the memory of Nathan. The awards have totaled $76,000. Each year since

1996 a golf outing, the Nathan Ostrowski Memorial Golf Tourney, has raised funds for the scholarship trust fund.

This year’s golf outing will occur on Friday, June 18, 2010 at the Village Green Golf Course in Hickory, Pennsylvania.

Each year a raffle has been conducted in conjunction with the golf outing. The raffle has been an important foundation of the

fundraising effort, generally raising $2,400 for the scholarship fund. The owner of the winning tickets wins $2,500. The

winning number is based on the 7:00 p.m. Pennsylvania Daily Number on the day of the golf outing.

If any South Fayette resident or friends would like to participate, follow the directions below:

Make checks out to: The Nathan Ostrowski Memorial Scholarship Trust Fund. The fund is a 501© (3) charitable

organization.

4 Tickets ($5.00/Ticket) - $20.00

10 Tickets ($5.00/Ticket) - $50.00

20 Tickets ($5.00/Ticket) - $100.00

XXX Tickets ($5.00/Ticket) - (However, many tickets x $5.00 will give you your amount owed)

Tickets will be mailed to you, or delivered personally, following receipt of your check.

You can indicate your favorite numbers; otherwise tickets will be selected randomly.

Favorite ticket numbers will be done on a first-come first-served basis.

You can be extremely helpful by selling a number of tickets. These would be in packets of 20.

You would not be required to pay for the tickets in advance, but will be responsible for payment for all of the tickets

MRSA Information

The South Fayette School District has been notified of two cases of MRSA (Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus) have been diagnosed with students who attend the South Fayette School District.
