The South Fayette boy's and girl's track team continued their record setting first year track season, competing in the 30 school - 60 team "AA and AAA" Mars High School Track and Field Invitational Friday, April 27, 2007.  Caleb-Anderson O'Kelly placed third in the triple jump and Chris Spicer placed fifth in the discus.

The following school records were set:

Boys:   
400 Meter Dash - John Cochran - 55.03 seconds

4x400 Meter Relay: Kaiting Chen, John Cochran, Matt Stehlik, Kevin Hunter (3:46.53)

Javelin: Chris Spicer - 126'0"

Girls:
4x400 Meter Relay - Megan Murrer,Amy Murrer, Jessica Segeleon, Brenna Fabila (4:25.64)

Track & Field Athletes prove their “Medal”
at Saturday’s Inaugural Invitational

Saturday, April 21st, 2007 proved to be a historical day at South Fayette Stadium.  Our Track & Field Athletes played host to 18 area “AA” Schools for our 1st Annual Track & Field Invitational.  The weather turned out to be absolutely perfect for this type of event and our athletes performed extremely well.  We took four medals and 11 other places throughout the day and all parents and coaches are extremely proud of our kids!

What an impressive list for our first Track & Field season!  And to top it off, the Girls’ team set 5 new school records and the Boys’ team set 9 new school records in the process.  It looks like Track & Field is here to stay!  Congratulations to all!
