We would like to congratulate members of the South Fayette Boys and Girls Track and Field team for their performance at yesterday's
WPIAL Class “AA” Championship Meet at South Side Beaver. The following individuals finished in the top eight to earn a WPIAL medal.
A new school record was set by Julia Denison in the 3200 meter run as she went on to finish 8th overall.
Caleb-Anderson O'Kelly finished 7th overall in the boy's triple jump.
Two athletes also finished in the top five in their event and qualified for the PIAA State Championship Meet!
Erica Quattro finished in a tie for fourth in the girl's high jump and Chris Spicer finished first overall in the boy's shot put to earn a trip to States as the WPIAL Champion!!!
Good luck to Erica and Chris as they prepare for States.
Congratulations to Coach Barton, Dunn, Peters and the entire SF Boys Baseball Team on a fine season this year as the varsity team has advance to play in the WPIAL Class”AA” Baseball Playoffs.
The boys playoff baseball game between the Riverside Panthers and the South Fayette Lions will be held at Seneca Valley on Tuesday, May 13th at 4:00pm
With the start of the 2008-09 school year, changes have been made to the schedules in the following sports: girl’s basketball and boy’s basketball. Accordingly, girl’s soccer will stay as a fall sport.

There will be meetings this Friday, May 9, 2008, for students interested in wrestling.
Coach Ladick will be at the high school at 1:30 p.m. to meet students in grades 9-11. This meeting will occur in the high school gym lobby.
Coach Ladick will then go to the middle school at 2:30 p.m. to meet students in grades 6-8. This meeting will take place in the middle school auditorium.
We are attempting to skate 4 teams this year; Developmental, Freshman, Junior Varsity and Varsity. This would included K thru 12.
All individual fundraising monies earned will be credited to your player(s) account. We intend to have fundraising to offset fees such as Car Washes, Candy Sales, Hoagie Sales, Super Bowl Poll and any other ideas you may want. We may need organization fundraisers such as a Raffle (to be determined). All participation is needed.
At this time I am requesting a commitment fee of $100.00 so we may begin the formation of rosters & teams with USA Hockey & the PIHL. Please send commitment fee to; Darell Frank/205 Stuart Circle/McDonald, PA 15057. Checks made out to SOUTH FAYETTE HOCKEY CLUB.
We need to make a Declaration of Teams on May 14th. Please commit promptly.

The following information is about the Comprehensive Pre-Participation Physical Evaluations by the (PIAA) Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Inc.:
Starting with the 2008-2009 sports season, physical evaluations will no longer be adequate for a calendar year, but for the school year only. All physicals must be dated after June 1, 2008, by all athletes and cheerleaders for the 2008-2009 season.
Fall sport signups will start the middle of May 2008. More information will be forthcoming.

Congratulations to Cameron Carlock (Grade 9) who took 3rd place in the WPIAL Boys Tennis Class “AA” Section 5 Single Qualifier at Keystone Oaks High School yesterday.
Cameron defeated Tin Chu from Thomas Jefferson by scores of 6-3 and 6-2 in the consolation match.
With Cameron placing 3rd in the qualifiers, he moves onto the WPIAL Singles Championships which will take place April 18-19, 2008.
Congratulations to the SF Freshman Hockey Club who beat Canon McMillan last night in the Tier IV Hockey Championships. The final score of the game was 5-3.
The overall record this season for the Freshman Hockey Club was 7 wins, 10 losses and 2 ties.
Congratulations to the SF Boys' Varsity Basketball Team on their blow out victory over Avonworth on Jan. 22 by a score of 88-45. With the win the team claimed the Section III – Class “AA” Basketball title. The last time that South Fayette boys' basketball clinched a section title was in 1999.

Tickets for this fundraiser to support the Boys Hockey Club will be on sale at the Boys Soccer Home Games and the Hockey Clubs Home Games.
