South Fayette Administrative Team There are nine administrators directing school operations: a Superintendent; an Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment; Director of Pupil Personnel; Elementary, Middle and High School Principals; and a Director of Finance and Business Operations.
Dr. Hippert joined the
South Fayette team as an Associate Junior-Senior
High School Principal in 1990. In June
1991, she became Principal of the Junior-Senior
High School and remained in that capacity
until she became Acting Superintendent
in 1996. The following year, she began
serving the District as Superintendent.
Dr. Hippert is also an adjunct professor
at Duquesne University’s School
of Leadership and Professional Advancement.
Prior to her time at South
Fayette, Dr. Hippert was a math teacher
in the Trinity and Chartiers Valley School
Districts. In addition, she spent two
years in business working in marketing
and management.
Dr. Hippert holds a Bachelor’s
Degree in Mathematics Education from the
Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and
a Master’s degree from the University
of Pittsburgh. At Duquesne University
she also received her Secondary Administrative
Certification and Doctorate Degree from
the University’s Program for Educational
Leaders.
Active in many professional
organizations, Dr. Hippert has been a
member of the Executive Board of the Western
Pennsylvania Supervision of Curriculum
and Development, Treasurer for Phi Delta
Kappa Educational Fraternity, a member
of the Executive Board of the University
of Pittsburgh Tri-State Study Council,
and the South Hills Area School District
Association Superintendents.
Dr.
Mary Ravita Assistant
Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction,
and Assessment
Dr.
Ravita served six years as Assistant Superintendent
at Bentworth School District. Prior to that,
she worked for a total of 18 years at Parkway
West Vocational/Technical School. Dr. Ravita
earned a Bachelor's in Education at the
University of Pittsburgh where she also
received her M. Ed. in Vocational Education
and Supervision. She earned her Ph.D. in
Vocational Education and Educational Administration
also at the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Ravita has extensive professional training
in curriculum and instruction, administrative
supervision, Strategic Plan, technology
and telecommunications planning, staff development,
public relations, Federal Programs, budget
preparation, the evaluation of student learning,
as well as staff election. Dr. Ravita serves
as an adjunct faculty member at Robert Morris
University. She has also served in the same
capacity at Pitt and as an evening administrator
at CCAC.
A
member of the South Fayette team since
1979, Mrs. Bisignani spent 18 years as
a classroom teacher, 1 year as an instructional
technology specialist and has been high
school principal for the past 5 years.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in
business education from Indiana University
of Pennsylvania, a certificate in Instructional
Technology from Carlow College and a Master’s
Degree from Carnegie Mellon University
with a specialization in Educational Leadership.
Mrs. Bisignani is also on the steering
committee for the Allegheny County Principal’s
Forum.
Mr. Skrbin joined the South Fayette team in October of 2005. Prior to South Fayette, Mr. Skrbin served as assistant high school principal at Chartiers Valley High School for one year, spent two years as an assistant middle school principal at both Woodland Hills West and Woodland Hills East Jr. High Schools, and served as a high school social studies teacher and department chairperson at Woodland Hills High School for five years. Mr. Skrbin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Duquesne University and a Master's Degree in Public Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
As
Middle School Principal, Mrs. Labutta
has been a member of the South Fayette
team for the past 6 years. Prior to this
position, she was a classroom teacher
for 18 years, a principal for the Diocese
of Pittsburgh for 6 years and an assistant
principal for the West Jefferson Hills
School District in the elementary and
middle schools. Mrs. Labutta holds a Bachelor’s
Degree from Duquesne University and a
Master’s Degree and Principal’s
Certification from the Duquesne University
School of Education.
Mr. Abdulovic
has been a member of the South Fayette
Team since 1974. He began his career at
South Fayette as a 6th grade math teacher,
but has also spent time teaching science,
reading, social studies and robotics.
Mr. Abdulovic was named Assistant principal
in 2002, after several years as Dean of
Students for 4th and 5th grades. He holds
a Bachelor’s Degree from Slippery
Rock University, and Master’s Degree
from the University of Pittsburgh, as
well as a reading specialist certificate
and Elementary Principal’s Certificate
from the University of Pittsburgh.
Mrs. Beverina Moore has
been with the District since 1991. She
began her career with South Fayette
as Director of Pupil Personnel Services/School
Psychologist before taking the role
of Elementary Principal. Prior to joining
South Fayette, Mrs. Beverina Moore was
an Elementary teacher and guidance counselor.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree
from California State College, a Master’s
Degree from West Virginia University,
an Elementary Principal Certificate
from the University of Pittsburgh, a
Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study
in School Psychology from Duquesne University
and is a National Certified School Psychologist.
Mrs. Gray has been
with the District since 2001. She started
her career at South Fayette as a third grade
teacher and spent the last three years as
a reading specialist. Prior to teaching
in South Fayette, Mrs. Gray taught in Missouri,
Altoona, and Johnstown. Mrs. Gray holds
a Bachelor’s Degree from Iowa State
University. She obtained her Master’s
Degree in Reading and a Principal Certificate
from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
