Did you know…
When you shower, you use 5 gallons of water every minute. Some of us may take longer than 5 minutes, but just think…a 5 minute shower equals 25 gallons of water if you showered 1x/day. That’s a lot. So the next time you’re just relaxing or singing a tune b/c you love to stay in longer, make it a short one.
Try these weekly tips below and know that you are making a difference.
Weekly Tip 1 Try these challenges to help you adopts greener shopping habits.
(green) Look at everything before you buy. Start becoming aware of packaging and recyclability.
(greener) Go a week without shopping (food not included). In your time off, identify something you need and find a green way to purchase it- after your week is over, of course.
(greenest) Research your favorite two stores. How green are they? Use what you learn to decide if you should stop shopping there. Or get involved and send them a letter saying you won’t buy from them unless they get their environmental act together.
(super-greenest) buy less stuff and cut your consumption.
