WELCOME TO THE NEW SCHOLARSHIP LINK

For your convenience, we have redesigned this page for easy access to scholarship and award opportunities using categories headings listed alphabetically.  Another change you will note is that we have combined all scholarship and award information into one link. Local, regional and national are now listed under the specific group heading.

In addition, we have listed information targeted to seniors in the first section and juniors in the second section.

For instance all sports related information will be listed under the SPORTS section.

We also recommend that students and parents continue to use web based scholarship information in addition to our site.  You will notice links at the bottom of the page to the most popular sites.

We also would like to include any scholarship and or award information you would like to post to the site to share with other students and parents.

CAREER SPECIFIC

CAD/Design/Drafting Scholarship Award Competition

Sponsored by National Association of Women in Construction

Requirements: This competition is open to both male and female students. This contest provides recognition to students for creative design, successful problem solving and craftsmanship in preparing architectural drawings and renderings.  Drawings may be submitted in the category of “Hand Drafting” or “CAD drafting”.  The design problem this year is a library.

University of Pittsburgh Balanced Man Scholarship

Sponsored by PA Gamma Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity

Requirements: Male senior who will be attending the University of Pittsburgh who exhibit academic excellence, demonstrate leadership skills and commit to health and well-being.

Syracuse University has 10 Full Rides for African American Men and Women
Interested in Studying Architecture. Mark Robbins, Dean of Syracuse University’s School of Architecture is desperately seeking young men and
women of color interested in pursuing a five year professional degree in
Architecture. He says he’s deeply committed to bringing diversity to his
field and has scholarship money set aside to fully cover education costs
for 10 students. He says that Hispanic enrollment in the school has
increased substantially, but it’s been harder to attract Blacks. Syracuse
University School of Architecture has a great reputation and this seems
like a terrific opportunity, so please pass this on to everyone you know.

Duquesne University

Tamburitzan  Scholarship information is available at www.duq.edu/tamburitzans. These scholarships are offered to any Duquesne University student, regardless of ethnic background, who has experience as a performing artist.

Gannon University

A recipient of the National Science Foundation grant entitled Scholars of Excellence in Engineering and Computing Science provides need based academic merit scholarships to students who choose to study engineering or computing science at Gannon.  These scholarships are one year and renewable for up to four years.  For more information visit www.gannon.edu/seecs.

Jo-Ann Fabric “Own Your Look Prom Contest”

Requirements: Open to students ages 14-19 who are interested in making their own prom outfit, including an accessory, with fabric and other products from Jo-Ann. The top prize is $50,000  cash, 2nd prize is $10,000, 3rd is $5,000 and 4th-10th prizes are $1,000 each.  All prize winners also receive Jo-Ann gift cards.  Winning entries are chosen for workmanship, originality and level of detail
