Another change you will note is that we have combined all scholarship and award information into one link. Local, regional and national are now listed under the specific group heading.

In addition, we have listed information targeted to seniors in the first section and juniors in the second section.

For instance all sports related information will be listed under the SPORTS section.

We also recommend that students and parents continue to use web based scholarship information in addition to our site. You will notice links at the bottom of the page to the most popular sites.

COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY and PROPRIETORY SCHOOL SPECIFIC

Robert Morris University School of Engineering, Mathematics and Science has recently received from the National Science Foundation (NSF) a $562,220 grant for 21 scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics ( STEM ).

RMU will award these scholarships to 21 academically talented new students seeking financial support, who will enroll in fall 2009 in a science, engineering, or mathematics program in RMU’s School of Engineering, Mathematics, and Science (SEMS). Each of these 21 students will receive a total of $24,000 in STEM scholarship funds, over four years of study, in addition to both a 25% discount on their tuition fees and the financial aid package normally provided by the university.

Mt Aloysius College provides Mercy Presidential Scholarships (30 competitve scholarships available)

Requirements: Candidates must demonstrate a solid academic record, commitment to home, school and community, possess leadership abilities, participate in extra-curricular activities, volunteer and be involved in community service projects.

University of Dayton offers four scholarships to students who are interested in attending the institution. The awards are available for students with GPA’s with minimum A and B.

The amount of the awards are distributed over 4 years and range from $20,000 to $100,000. Additional information is available on the table outside of the Guidance Office.

The Robert “Cubby” Bearer Memorial Scholarship for Eagle Scouts at the University of Pittsburgh

Kent State University Award Program, Kent State University is pleased to announce they are expanding the University Award Program to include all 49 states outside of Ohio. This program will grant each eligible incoming freshman or transfer student $3,700 per year toward the out of state surcharge.

Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) The Presidential Scholars Program

Requirements: High school senior planning to attend FIT, Competitive admission to this program is based on SAT scores, class rank and high school GPA. Presidential scholars are also extended special privileges such as priority registration, housing in one of FIT’s residence halls and an annual merit stipend of $500.

Johnson and Wales University Scholarship Opporunities

Requirements: Student members of FBLA, National FFA, JA, SkillsUSA or TSA at sometime during high school are eligible for renewable scholarships up to full tuition for participation in these clubs. Students are planning to attend Johnson and Wales University upon high school graduation.

Carnegie Mellon University Scholarships include:

Andrew Carnegie Scholarships are worth half of the cost of tuition and are awarded to students in business, computer science, engineering, fine arts, information systems, liberal arts or the sciences
Carnegie Mellon University Scholarships are worth at least half of the cost of tuition and are awarded to students in business, computer science, engineering, find arts, information systems, liberal arts or the sciences
Judith Resnik-Challenger Scholarship are worth half the cost of tuition and are awarded to students in computer science, engineering, information systems or science
Presidential Scholarship range from $1,000 - $12,000 and are awarded to artistic and academically talented students whose families qualify for little or no need-based assistance.

All admitted students of CMU receive scholarship consideration. There is no separate scholarship application process; however, students must apply for financial aid in order to be considered for Presidential Scholarships.
