The mission of the South Fayette School District, in partnership with the community, is to cultivate academic, artistic, and athletic excellence by instilling a spirit of collaboration and communication to develop confident, ethical and responsible leaders.

Registration for preschool for the next school year will be held on Monday, January 16th in the high school building in Room FA226, starting at 7:00 A.M. Please do not come early. The classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. A child must live in South Fayette and must be four by September 1, 2012. There are four classes. One class meets Wednesday and Friday and some Mondays while the other class meets Tuesday and Thursday and some Mondays. The morning class is from 8:15 A.M. to 10:40 A.M. and the afternoon class is from 11:25 A.M. to 1:50 P.M. There is a $100 NON-REFUNDABLE registration fee required at this time. Make checks payable to South Fayette Preschool. Cash is also acceptable.
After January 16th applications will be accepted and placed on a waiting list. But please keep in mind that the class fills up quickly on registration day and the line forms early. A parent should register their child if possible. If not, a relative or friend may register them. You can register only one child unless you have twins. This eliminates the problem of one person coming early and registering friends. Only those who will be repeating the class will be registered before January 16th. If you would like to receive more information and the forms ahead of time, they are available in the High School, Middle School, or Elementary School office or by calling 412-221-4542, extension 520. Although no forms will be accepted early, it will eliminate the necessity of a parent being present at registration. Please bring a COPY OF YOUR CHILD’S BIRTH CERTIFICATE, OFFICIAL PROOF OF IMMUNIZATION RECORDS, AND A RECENT PICTURE OF YOUR CHILD. If you have any question, please call Judy Morally at the above number preferably between 7:00AM and 8:15AM or after 2:00PM.
In case of inclement weather on January 16th, call 412-221-4542 and cancellation instructions will be given on the hotline.
