Student members from the National Junior Art
Honor Society planning to attend the field trip
on Tuesday, May 13th to the Andy Warhol Museum
are reminded to have their signed permission
slips and checks in to Mrs. Lally no later than
this Friday, May 9th. Thanks.
All students that are a part of the Lions Off
the Leash Talent Show must stay after school
next Tuesday, May 13th, until 4:30 pm for their
first rehearsal. Please plan to stay after and
have your materials ready to practice. We will
meet in the LGI room.
Monday May 12th, the Spanish club will be going
on a field trip to Cocina Mendoza – a
Mexican Restaurant in Bethel Park. Get a permission
slip from your Spanish teacher and turn it in
by May 8th to join us!
The newspaper meeting will be Tuesday, May
13th from 3 to 4:30. Again, only those staff
members not finished with their articles and
the 8th grade editors need to attend.
Don’t miss the spring book fair next
week in the library. Each language arts class
will attend the fair.

Please join us at the Country Meadows Nursing
Home on Saturday, May 10, 2008. Country Meadows
will be having a Cook-Out for the students from
12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: The date for Middle
School Awards Night, for 7th and 8th Graders,
has been changed. The date on the District
Calendar, June 2nd, conflicts with the HS
Baccalaureate scheduled for that evening.
The new date for the Middle School Awards
night is Thursday, May 29th.
The following information is about the Comprehensive
Pre-Participation Physical Evaluations by the
(PIAA) Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic
Association Inc.: Starting with the 2008-2009
sports season, physical evaluations will no
longer be adequate for a calendar year, but
for the school year only. All physicals must
be dated after June 1, 2008, by all athletes
and cheerleaders for the 2008-2009 season. Fall
sport signups will start the middle of May 2008.
More information will be forthcoming.Questions
regarding sport physicals should be addressed
with your head coach or the Athletic Office.

After School Tutoring
Do you need time to complete work on the computer?
Do you need a quiet place to complete homework?
Do you need a little extra help on assignments
or projects? The Middle School Monday or Wednesday
After School Tutoring session might be the place
for you. The first tutoring session will be
held on September 17th in the computer lab off
of the library. The session will end at 4:30,
just in time for the activity bus to take you
home. If interested, stop by the office to get
a permission slip for your guardian to review.
