Library Policies

Students in grades 5-8 are eligible for borrowing books from the library. Students will borrow books using their student ID number. Students do NOT need to wait until their scheduled library class to check out or return books. Students can visit the library before and after school or during activity period to borrow or return library materials.

Circulation

Students may check out a maximum of four (4) library books and/or magazines.
Library books are checked out for a period of two (2) weeks.
Magazines are checked out for a period of one (1) week.
Current magazines do NOT circulate.
It is the students responsibility to return books and magazines to the library on time.
Library fines are 5 cents a day
Reference materials may not be checked out.

Damaged or Lost Materials

Sometimes accidents happen. If a book is lost or damaged while circulating, the student who borrowed the book must pay for the cost of replacing the book. The librarian has information about book costs and processing fees.

All fines must be paid before the end of each school year, or report cards will not be sent home!
