South Fayette is conducting the 3rd Annual Teens for Jeans Drive, a national campaign in partnership with DoSomething.org, the largest not-for-profit organization for young people and social change. Teens for Jeans encourages young people across the country to run a jean drive in their school or community to help provide clothing for youth experiencing homelessness.
Over a million young people experience homelessness in the United States every year and one of the most requested items that young people in homeless shelters ask for is a pair of jeans. Last year, South Fayette collected 750 pairs of jeans!
Members of the community can support South Fayette’s drive by dropping off gently-used jeans in the lobby of any school building or in the drop off box in front of the high school between January 16 – March 3.
