Requirements/Approvals

When creating merchandise for distribution or sale that features a South Fayette logo or district/mascot name, the following guidelines must be followed:
  • Appropriateness:  Content must be suitable for all ages, reflecting the District’s educational mission and values.
  • No political party reference or messaging referencing political parties, religious, or controversial topics or advertisements.
  • No promotion of alcohol, tobacco, vaping, gambling, or other adult-oriented products. Exception: If a sponsoring business has a name that includes titles such as bar, ales, taphouse, or something similar, these may be permitted with administration approval.
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI): the use of AI in the creation of merchandise designs is prohibited.
  • Language: All language must be positive, respectful, and aligned with the District’s commitment to inclusivity.
  • Images and Logos: All imagery and logos must be age-appropriate, non-offensive, and aligned with District standards. No images containing nudity, violence, or inappropriate symbolism.
  • Mockups: Mockups of merchandise for distribution or sale must be submitted to the Communications Director for approval prior to creation. This ensures that content meets district standards and aligns with branding guidelines. The decision of the Communications Director is final.
  • Student designs must be submitted to the Director of Communications for approval.

If you have the need for a new/different logo to represent your team or organization, please contact the Director of Communications to review and/or discuss options. If needed, custom design fees from initial concept to final approval may be charged to your organization.
