High School Parent-Teacher Conferences


Dear High School Parents/Guardians,

This year, the High School Parent-Teacher Conferences will be completed on the days listed below either in person or virtually.  This is an opportunity to meet with your child’s teachers and discuss your child’s progress.

Parent-Teacher Conference Days:

Thursday, Nov. 11 - Students have a 10:30 a.m. early dismissal - Conference times run from 11:20 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 12 - Conference times are 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (All HS Faculty and Staff have a lunch break from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. We close the building at this time)

Monday, Nov. 15 - Conference times are 12:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (All HS Faculty and Staff have a dinner break from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. We close the building at this time)

If you are requesting to meet with a specific teacher to discuss your child's progress, please sign up by Thursday, November 4th by accessing the SignUp Genius link below.  Please follow the prompts on the site.   The link can also be found on the High School web page. Once on the SignUp Genius website, you will see the site is organized by department.  Teachers are listed alphabetically by their department.  Simply search for the teacher you would like to conference with, choose the date and time and choose “Submit and Sign Up” at the bottom.

You will be directed to the next screen to enter required prompts (name, email address, phone number, etc.) for sign up.  Once completed, choose “Sign Up Now” at the bottom.   The next screen will give you the option to go “Back to Sign Up” if you want to set up more conferences.  Close out of the browser when done.  You will receive an email confirmation for each sign up scheduled.  Please know that you cannot change your sign up once completed.  Please contact the Main Office at 412-221-4542, Ext. 241 if you need to cancel or change your conference time.

SignUpGenius will help us to generate a list of requested conferences. If you prefer to meet virtually with your teacher, once you choose your conference date and time, we kindly request that you please directly notify the teacher(s) to request to meet virtually, as they will be setting up the Google Meet.  A list of teacher emails can be found on our Staff Directory located at https://www.southfayette.org/StaffDirectory.aspx.  Once that is communicated, the teacher(s) will email you an invitation to a Google Meet in order to attend the Parent-Teacher Conference virtually.  You will be able to access the Google Meet from a computer or your phone. If you are using your phone, you would use the “Join by Phone” number provided on the Google Meet electronic invitation and PIN code.
 

If you are planning to meet in person with the teacher(s), the high school will be open on the dates and times listed above.  When you enter the high school, a teacher room list and map will be available to locate the classroom(s) for your meeting(s).  Again, all conferences are 15 minutes in length. You will wait outside the classroom until your scheduled conference time.  In addition, if teachers are requesting to meet with you, you will receive a letter in the mail and will be requested to sign up through the SignUp Genius link provided to you.


Again, the Parent-Teacher Conference “Sign Up” link will be closed on November 4th.  Please contact the Main Office with any questions.
