Due to a change in Kennywood’s operational calendar, the park will not be open on the previously scheduled picnic day for South Fayette, which was Thursday, May 25, 2023. The district has worked with Kennywood to reschedule the 2023 school picnic date for Thursday, June 15, 2023. We will soon share information regarding the sale of discounted park tickets for our rescheduled date.
Please note, this will not impact the 2022-2023 school calendar. Our students and educators will still be off on Thursday, May 25; Friday, May 26; and Monday, May 29. The new 2023 Kennywood picnic day takes place during summer break.
Going forward, South Fayette’s annual picnic day will be adjusted for the park’s operational schedule, and that change will be reflected on future school calendars.
