Dear Intermediate School Families,
We are excited to announce this year’s Girls Who Code Clubs! One club will be held for 4th and 5th grade students beginning in January, and one club will be held for 3rd grade students beginning in March.
Girls Who Code is a nonprofit organization with the mission of closing the gender gap in technology. Through completing various projects during club sessions, students will develop a deeper understanding of important computer science concepts: loops, variables, conditionals, and functions. These concepts serve as a basis for understanding all computer programming languages.
Girls Who Code is open to all students at the Intermediate School. 4th & 5th grade students will meet AFTER SCHOOL on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:20-4:30 p.m. and 3rd grade students will meet BEFORE SCHOOL on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:45-8:45 a.m. Please see the club schedule below.

In order to provide a fair opportunity for everyone, in the event we have more students than spaces available, club registration will be based on a lottery system. To be entered into the lottery, please click on the link below to complete an interest form. If you have multiple students, one form should be filled out for each student.

Please submit your form by Tuesday, January 10. You will receive an email on January 12 with information on whether your child was selected.
