South Fayette Elementary School is getting ready to welcome its newest class of Lions this fall! Online kindergarten registration for the 2023-2024 school year is now open! All students must be five (5) years old on or before September 1, 2023 in order to register for kindergarten for the 2023-2024 school year.
South Fayette Elementary School offers a half-day kindergarten program that fosters learners’ natural curiosity and supports their academic, creative, and social growth. A day in our kindergarten classroom includes opening exercises, language arts, math, social studies, science, story time, and explore time. Support services are provided for our learners who have special needs or who are learning English as a second language.
The morning kindergarten session begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 11:45 a.m. The afternoon kindergarten session begins at 12:38 p.m. and ends at 3:23 p.m. Families will be notified of their child’s assigned session (morning or afternoon) in early June. These determinations are based on the neighborhood or daycare.
The online kindergarten registration process is a step-by-step process, designed to be convenient for our Lion families.
Step 1
Visit our Kindergarten registration information page by visiting
southfayette.org/Enrollment.aspx. There you will find the link to our pre-registration online form. Complete the pre-registration online form.
Step 2
After you complete and submit the pre-registration online form, our district registrar Tiffany Vetter will email you with your login information and a link to complete the online registration forms. These forms include the student information form, emergency contacts and sibling information, Act 26 form, transportation form, student access form, residence survey, photo/publicity acceptance/refusal form, home language survey, and health information form.
Additional required registration documents include a copy of birth documentation, two (2) proofs of residency, a copy of immunization records, custody agreement (if applicable), physical exam (can be submitted during the school year), and dental exam (can be submitted during the school year).
The registration link will provide directions for attaching the birth documentation, proofs of residency, immunization record, and custody agreement (if applicable). You may choose to upload the documents, or you can mail the documents to the elementary school (3620 Old Oakdale Road McDonald, PA 15057), fax the documents to the elementary school (724-693-2762), drop off the documents with Diana Maitland, ES Greeter, or scan/email the documents to Roberta Dantry (
[email protected]).
Step 3
After you complete the online registration, you will receive another email in February to schedule your child’s kindergarten screening appointment. The kindergarten screenings will take place on March 28, 29, and 30 at the South Fayette Elementary School.
