PSSA Testing begins April 9, 2019.

February 26, 2019

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Please note that beginning on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 we will administer the PSSA (Pennsylvania System of School Assessment) according to the schedule below.

The Middle School and Intermediate School will be administering the PSSA Assessments on the following dates:

PSSA English Language Arts (Grades 3-8):  April 9, 10, 11

PSSA Math (Grades 3-8): April 30 and May 1

PSSA Science (Grades 4 and 8): May 2, 3

Not all students will be testing for the entire testing window above.  The building administrators have developed a schedule of specific dates and times for each test within the required testing window for that test.  The schedule provides adequate time for students to complete the assessments and is aligned with the age group and developmental needs of students in their building.

Please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions for additional information regarding the PSSA state assessments.  As in the past, we very much appreciate your support in emphasizing the importance of these assessments and that each child does his or her best. Please be sure that your child is well rested and eats a healthy breakfast as the students do expend considerable effort during these assessments.

If you have any questions or need any additional information, please feel free to contact your building principal or either of us.
