Mrs. Stephanie DeLuca - Curriculum, Technology, and Innovation Coordinator

Mrs. Stephanie DeLuca is the Curriculum, Technology, and Innovation Coordinator (K-12).  Mrs. DeLuca assists with pre-planning and facilitating the evolving South Fayette High School (SFHS) Innovation opportunities as the District prepares for the integration and utilization of the newly designed SFHS spaces.  She also works closely with Ms. Aileen Owens, Director of Technology and Innovation, and Mr. David DeramoAssistant Superintendent. 

Since August, 2015, Mrs. DeLuca has served the South Fayette students and community as the SFIS Steam Teacher/Facilitator.   Additionally, Mrs. DeLuca earned the Master of Education Degree (2012), the Principal K-12 Certification (2013), and the Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction (2013) all from Gannon University.  Mrs. DeLuca earned The Bachelor of Science in Education Degree at Pennsylvania State University where she was also a member of The Schreyer Honors College.

Stephanie Deluca In addition to Mrs. DeLuca’s South Fayette Township School District responsibilities that included facilitating the SFIS STEAM classes, she taught and implemented the “Habits of Mind” attributes and participated in overall curriculum and technology initiatives.  Mrs. DeLuca also develops and teaches online administrative courses for Gannon University. 

Mrs. Deluca co-presented with Ms. Aileen Owens at the National ISTE Conference.  Their session, entitled The Power to Invent:  Embedding the Maker Movement in K-12 Education, focused on District “Remaking Learning” advancement.  Additionally, Mrs. DeLuca has presented at The Three Rivers Educational Technology Conference and the Harvard-Based Project Zero Perspectives Conference, provided regional educational professional development at the South Fayette Summer Institute, and coordinated the South Fayette Intermediate School Summer STEAM Camp.

Mrs. DeLuca’s professional memberships include, but are not limited to, the national Association for Curriculum Development (ASCD) and the Pennsylvania state affiliate PASCD.  Mrs. DeLuca actively engages in environmental projects and works on education sustainability with Pittsburgh’s Green Building Alliance. 

Previously, Mrs. DeLuca worked as the Thinking Lab Educator/Program Developer at The Environmental Charter School at Frick Park.  She administratively served as the Acting Principal, Upper School.  Her early teaching experiences also extend to eastern Pennsylvania in the Abington Heights School District and Central Bucks School District.
