Little Lions Summer Academy Registration Monday, May 14, 2012 from 6:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m. in the High School Fine Arts lobby. Registration fee is $50 per class.

Board of Directors Meeting

The South Fayette Township Board of Directors has scheduled a Special Meeting for Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 7:00 p.m., in the High School Conference Center, 3640 Old Oakdale Road, to discuss the Proposed Final 2012-2013 budget and other general purposes.

Tennis Fun All Summer Long

McDonald Borough Parks & Rec Department Summer Tennis Program Beginning June 12 thru Aug. 2, 2012 at the Harry Collins Courts in Heritage Park, McDonald, PA.
16 lessons in 8 weeks taught by tennis coach/pro, Nick Wilson
Lessons for ages 5 through 95 are Tuesdays and Thursdays
High School Team Prep class are Wednesdays and Fridays
Adult Classes are Tuesday evenings...$50.00 for 8 - 1 1/2 hour lessons
All other lessons are $40.00 for first child/$10.00 for additional child in the family
Please register by June 3, 2012, registration forms available at McDonald Pharmacy, McDonald Boro Building and Heritage Library.

South Fayette Foundation to Host Golf Classic on July 13th

The 1st Annual South Fayette Foundation for Excellence Golf Classic will be held on Friday, July 13 at Southpointe Golf Club, Canonsburg. The fee per golfer is $125 which includes an 18-hole scramble, riding cart, continental breakfast, luncheon, door prizes, auction, and various awards.
Skill prize opportunities include a putting challenge, two longest drive contests, "closest to the pin" challenge, and hole-in-one prizes that include three $5000 awards and a car from Colussy Chevrolet! A variety of sponsorship opportunities exist. A limited number of South Fayette High School golf team members are available to be a fifth team member. The South Fayette Foundation for Excellence is an independent non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization working to support the students and staff of the South Fayette School District to raise funds to award student scholarships and teacher grants for innovative programs, educational opportunities and technology.

Instructors Needed!

The South Fayette Elementary Little Lions' Academy is looking for instructors. The Academy will be held July 10 to July 13 (Session A) and July 17 to July 20 (Session B) Both sessions from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. If you have a special interest and would like to teach a class this summer, please contact Cara Fornella at cfornella@southfayette.org or 412-221-4542, ext. 617 for more information.

2012-2013 South Fayette Kindergarten Registration

Beginning January 17, if you have a child that is eligible for kindergarten next school year (age five on or before September 1) please call Becky Pasteryk at 412-221-4542 extension 331 or Roberta Dantry extension 332 to schedule your child’s kindergarten screening. Our kindergarten parent meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2012 in the elementary school’s all purpose room.
