South Fayette Students Featured by Kidbsurgh After Meeting President Obama at Technology Conference

This fall Pittsburgh hosted President Barack Obama at the White House Frontiers Conference.  The primary focus of the conference was to encourage students to pursue careers in STEM fields - science, technology, engineering and math.

Three South Fayette students attended the invitation-only event where they participated in seminars with world-renowned scientists, engineers, and astronauts.

Joe Cavanaugh, Parv Shrivastava, and Anish Thangavelu have been recognized nationally for their collaboration in creating the BusBudE app, which alerts parents via text message when their children get on and off the school bus.

Cavanaugh, Shrivastava, and Thangavelu also excel in other classes and projects that include computer coding and app design.

South Fayette congratulates them on their accomplishments and for proudly representing our district!
