HS Chemistry Teacher's Summer Research May Change the Future of Science Curriculum

South Fayette High School chemistry teacher Bryan Seybert spent one month of his summer break participating in a research program at Carnegie Mellon University as part of a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant. In addition to their research, Seybert  and a fellow teacher from Pittsburgh Westinghouse Academy worked to create a two- to three-week curriculum unit on atmospheric chemistry. The following article from CMU's Chemical Engineering news summarizes the experience and how Seybert hopes to bring his work into the classrooms at South Fayette.
