Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
In order to try to assist with the increasing traffic on campus during Parent Drop Off times in the mornings at the High School, the following will be implemented:

We are requesting that all student drivers enter campus next to the Middle School Natatorium entrance and drive around the rear of the Middle School to the stadium lot, or proceed to the stop sign, then turn left to proceed to student parking located in the front of the high school. The other alternative is for student drivers to enter campus in between the Student Support Services building and the Elementary School where they can proceed to the Stadium lot and in the event that they park in the student parking outside the front of the high school, they are permitted to make a right hand turn into the student parking lots outside of the high school and do not have to wait in the parent drop off line. Students will be informed of the procedures through announcements and will also receive this email.

We are requesting that all parents that are dropping off their students please use Lt. Will Way to access campus. This is the entrance that is located closest to the Elementary School and Intermediate School. Parents should proceed to the Innovation Hub, located in the rear right corner of the high school and students may be dropped off at the Innovation Hub, the corner of the Fine Arts Wing, or in the front of the building. Students should use the sidewalks once they exit the vehicles to proceed to the front entrance to enter. Students do not have to wait to exit the vehicles until they are in the front of the building. This will provide multiple drop-off locations. If parents select to drop off their students(s) at the Innovation Hub, they can exit campus by traveling on Lt. Will Way in between the Elementary School and Intermediate School.

Please note that if you are proceeding to the front of the building, the Drop Off and Pick Up location is a single lane and is located in the front of the building within the lane closest to the high school. A single lane will be maintained to provide the utmost of safety for cars navigating the campus to avoid collisions and to allow visitors to park in the parking spaces in that area.

As a reminder, student parking is located in the second row outside the front of the building. Parents should avoid using this area to drop off students.  We ask that parents dropping off students be mindful that students are also pulling into their assigned parking spaces out front of the building in the 2nd and 3rd rows of the parking lot.

Finally, as a reminder, Student Parking Permits are available on a first-come first serve basis for Juniors and Seniors only. We experienced a high volume of sales in August with Student Parking Permits and have met our capacity of available Student Parking Permits.  We have provided as many student parking permits as possible, while maintaining spaces for faculty, staff, visitors, special events that we host, traveling teachers, and the Little Lions Program. Although some of the spots in the student lot may not always look filled, please know that Parkway students depart the high school at 11:00 a.m. for Parkway and vacate their spots at that time and not all students drive to school each day. Students wishing to be placed on the waitlist should communicate with Mrs. Marasco in the Student Center.  In past years, we often have had Student Parking Permits that have become available in January and February; however, we cannot make any guarantees at this time as we are at capacity and we continue to experience growth.
