Students Receive Presidential Volunteer Service Award

Sixteen South Fayette Township School District students were recently recognized by Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey and presented the Presidential Volunteer Service Award.

Vedhamsh Erukula, Anvi Gupta, Arthik Vijay, Sreenidhi Veeroju received the Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Award. At this level, students ages 5-10 volunteer at least 75 hours, students ages 11-15 volunteer at least 100 hours, and young adults ages 16-25 volunteer at least 250 hours.

Ishi Gupta, Kavya Yuvaraj, and Oviya Yuvaraj received the Silver Presidential Volunteer Service Award. At this level, students ages 5-10 volunteer 50-74 hours, students ages 11-15 volunteer 75-99 hours, and young adults ages 16-25 volunteer 175–249 hours.

Meghana Kolli, Pranavi Gutta, Muhil Suresh, Ananya Rajesh, Anirudh Rajesh, Kavin Srikanth, Smrithi Sudhir, Shreya Duraisamy, and Mithra Senthilkumar received the Bronze Presidential Volunteer Service Award. At this level, students ages 5-10 volunteer 26-49 hours, students ages 11-15 volunteer 50-74 hours, and young adults ages 16-25 volunteer 100–174 hours.

The Presidential Volunteer Service Award honors those whose service positively impacts communities across the nation while inspiring those around them to take action, as well.
