We hope your summer is off to a wonderful start!

While the new school year may not be on your minds just yet, we wanted to make you aware of minor modifications made to the 2023-2024 calendar and approved last evening by the South Fayette Township School District Board of School Directors. Classes will now be in session on Thursday, May 23, 2024 and Friday, May 24, 2024. These dates were previously the district’s Kennywood picnic and the high school’s prom. However, Kennywood is no longer operating on weekdays prior to Memorial Day, and the high school prom is held earlier in the month. A rescheduled 2024 Kennywood picnic day will be announced at a later date.

With school now in session on these two days, the last day of school and commencement have been moved up to Tuesday, June 4, 2024. That day will be an early dismissal for students (high school – 10:30 a.m.; middle school – 11:15 a.m.; intermediate and elementary schools – 12 p.m.). The first rain date for graduation will now be on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
