Google Meet Troubleshooting
The Google Meet link that your teacher sent to you or posted on your child's Canvas course is designated to open when your teacher initiates the meeting. If you try to open the link in advance, your child will not be able to enter. This is a safeguard for your student's protection, so they cannot enter without the teacher being present. We ask that students do not click the link and try to enter until the appropriate time. If students try to enter earlier, they must go back to the original Google Meet link in order to resubmit this request at the appropriate time.
Also, students must log in to their lions.net account to access Google Meet. The link will not open to any address that is not a lions.net address. This is another protection for our students. We suggest students use their school device to access Google Meet sessions. In order to easily access all applications within Canvas, we also recommend students only log in to Google on their school device with their lions.net account.
