Dear Fifth Grade Parents and Guardians,
We are thrilled to welcome back the 8th annual South Fayette Intermediate School Art Club virtually this year! The art club is open to all fifth (5th) grade students who want to dig a bit deeper and explore the fascinating art world! There will be three separate sessions arranged as an after-school program for students in 5th grade to have the opportunity to explore their art skills at a whole new level right from the comfort of their home.
This year we will be working on three different projects during the distinct sessions. The first session will involve learning how to draw like Street Artist, Keith Haring. The second session will focus on learning how to draw like Pop Artist, Andy Warhol. The third session will involve learning how to create Optical Illusions with Bridget Riley. Students will not need to acquire additional art supplies to participate. All projects can be completed with paper and a pencil or with free digital apps.
Your child may sign up for any of the three sessions that best fit their schedule. Each session is different allowing all students to experience art virtually.
The art club will meet at 4:30-5:00pm on Monday's and Tuesday's virtually after school. The students will follow a google link to join the art club sessions.
Meeting dates:
Session 1: March 15th and March 16th
Session 2: March 22nd and 23rd
Session 3: March 29th and March 30th
