Mrs. Pharlan Ives joins the South Fayette School District from the Avonworth School District where she most recently served as the K-2 and 3-6 Assistant Principal at the Avonworth Primary Center and the Avonworth Elementary School. Previously, Mrs. Ives taught first and third grades at Edgeworth Elementary School in the Quaker Valley School District. While there, she was the Third Grade Curriculum Leader as well as the Running and Fitness Club Leader. Pharlan earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Child Development from Florida State University, a Master's of Science in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Duquesne University, and a K-12 Principal Certificate from the University of Pittsburgh. Pharlan holds it in high esteem to be a part of the District's Leadership Team and is honored for the opportunity to serve the South Fayette community.
